  • Passon

What is the particle size to put into PASSON?

PASSON, which we usually use as a test equipment, has a power of about 5 horsepower and the impeller blade spacing is about 0.2mm, which is very fine.

Therefore, if the particle size below that size is the general particle size that can be directly injected, we can say that it is this much.

However, when the actual process is carried out, it is put into PASSON after Pre-Mixing with DISPERSER or HOMO MIXER.

If it is a high-viscosity substance whose particle size can be reduced with DISPERSER or HOMO MIXER, it can be dispersed with PASSON.

Also, if large-sized materials must be injected in the process, the blades of the impeller can be specially manufactured according to the process.

(For reference, a special impeller was manufactured a while ago and the whole peanut was put into the passon and successfully dispersed.)

    Please contact your sales representative.

  • Passon

It is said to be a high-viscosity mixer. Is it possible to disperse low-viscosity?

In conclusion, it is possible, but it may not be effective for general distribution.

Due to the nature of the machine, PASSON's self-suction function by impeller is weaker than HOMO MIXER or INLINE MIXER.

Therefore, material transfer necessarily uses a separate pump suitable for the process,

(PUMP is responsible for transporting materials, PASSON is only responsible for dispersion.)

Low-viscosity materials may not be dispersed by the pushing force of the pump and pass through the impeller as it is.

Therefore, for materials with low viscosity, we recommend HOMO MIXER or INLINE MIXER.

However, the process in which PASSON can be effectively used at low viscosity is to keep the ratio of the two substances constant and

This is a case of one-pass production.

For example, if you need to produce one-pass while keeping material A at 90% and material B at 10%, transfer piping for the two materials

After connecting each to the inlet of PASSON, it is possible to produce effectively while adjusting the transfer amount.

As a continuous production method, high yield and uniform dispersion quality can guarantee the best.

Since the uses of PASSON are endless, please contact us by phone for details and we will inform you of the optimal process.

What is the smallest particle size?

Yes, the particle size may be different for each material. Because there are so many substances

We do not have exact data, but in the case of CARBON BLACK, it comes out to 200 nanometers.

They are also typically in the range of a few micrometers to tens of micrometers.

If you want more accurate verification, you can use a test program.

  • Disperser

The agitator is more expensive than other companies' products. Is there a reason?

For those of you who say, "A stirrer just spins by inserting a screw into the motor," our DISPERSER is a very expensive piece of equipment.

If so, are there any other differences from other simple, low-priced agitators?

    Of course there is.

And surprisingly, our DISPERSER is used by so many people in many industries. However, it is characteristic that customers who have used it once use it for a really long time without breakdown.

This part is the biggest feature. That means it's extremely durable.

Those who use our products or those who have seen them at exhibitions will tell us what they say, instead of the characteristics.

    1) Power is good!

In the end, even at high prices, the first people to buy our products are those with their own stories.

These are the people who suffered from the motor burning several times while using cheap products. Nine out of ten agree. If you let such people use our MIXENMILL DISPERSER, you will be really surprised. It has good power and even though the viscosity is a bit high, it stirs well for a long time.

    2) No noise!

A characteristic of a good motor is that it has good power and is quiet without noise.

The power is good and the motor bearing rotates stably, so it is quiet without noise.

    3) There is no shaking of the axis!

MIXENMILL's DISPERSER stirs quietly and powerfully with a thick shaft without any shaking of the shaft. Naturally, the quality of the sample you stir will eventually change.

Most of the cheap products assemble the motor axis and the shaft with a chuck, so the centering balance of the axis is not considered at all, so it shakes very much during stirring. Of course 'Originally yes. There is nothing to say if you say 'I can't help it', but if the equipment you paid for continues to break down and the maintenance cost is rather high, the person in charge who selected the product will also be in trouble.

Because of MIXENMILL's precise and accurate processing and assembly technology, there is no vibration of the axis, and as a result, durability is better.

The difference in agitation makes a difference in quality.

When considering an agitator, choose the product that will be used for a long time rather than the price.

Do I really need to submerge the impeller in liquid?

In a normal state, the impeller is immersed in a liquid material and returns.

On the contrary, it is said to be idling when it is not submerged in liquid.

    Here's why idling isn't a good idea.

There is a bush between the rotor and the stator, and wear occurs when the bush rotates without being immersed in the solution.

Therefore, when using the Rotor & Stator impeller, be sure to submerge it in a certain amount of solution.

  • Manufacturing

How long should the material be turned?

Aren't the RPMs too low? There are products from other companies that exceed 10,000 RPM.

Yes. For our experimental product, 6000RPM is the maximum speed. However, in the field where it is delivered and used by companies in numerous industries, 6000 RPM is sufficient, and there are few places that use up to the maximum RPM. Of course, I am satisfied with the dispersion quality.

    Why is that?

The agitator does not just increase performance by increasing the shear force when the RPM is high. It is also related to the diameter of the impeller. Naturally, the larger the diameter of the impeller, the greater the shear force.

Other companies' products adopt a DC motor with a small impeller diameter and high RPM, whereas our product is an AC motor with strong power and a large diameter, enabling sufficiently high quality agitation even within 6000 RPM.

  • Homo Mixer

How to do it when there is sediment or suspended matter?

HOMO MIXER has strong suction power from the bottom.

On the contrary, the upper surface of the water surface does not feel the vortex significantly, so the overall dispersion and emulsification effect may not be felt very large. (However, if you lift the beaker gently, you will feel the strong pulling force.)

Depending on the process of the material used, the blind area can be eliminated by changing the height of the impeller. Please refer to the following.

    1) When there is sediment: Place the impeller lower than the center. Example) When adding metallic powder, materials with heavy specific gravity, and materials with a lot of agglomerates

    2) When there is floating matter: Place the impeller higher than the center. Example) When adding oil floating in water or powder with a light specific gravity

What products does REVOROX mainly handle?

Our company is a mixer company.

Mixers often remind us of mixers used for home use, but we are manufacturing experimental or production products used by companies.

It is also called an agitator, which is a very broad concept. To easily distinguish, it can be divided into agitator, which is a low-speed stirrer, and high shear mixer, which is a high-speed disperser.

    ● Low-speed agitator (Agitator): A stirrer that plays the role of stirring with a stick

    ● High Shear mixer: Homo mixer, Homogenizer that disperses, emulsifies, and dissolves fine particles by generating shear force due to the fine clearance between the high-speed rotating rotor and the stationary impeller set called Stator. , also called Emulsifier.

Among them, MIXENMILL Company specializes in High Shear Mixers, and all of them are of the High Shear Mixer type except for laboratory Dispersers.

It would be helpful if you refer to it in advance when consulting the product.

Why use an AC motor instead of a DC motor?

    There are two main reasons.

First, when using a DC motor, the carbon brush may fall off.

If foreign matter enters the dispersing material, it becomes contaminated and is not good, so we use an AC motor without a carbon brush.

(Of course, the AC motor does not have a carbon brush, so there is nothing to fall down during stirring.)

Second, there are many products of other companies that use DC motors for small sizes such as those for experiments, but the impeller diameter is small and the RPM is increased instead. However, it is difficult to find products that use DC motors when looking for large-sized products. The reason is that DC motors do not come out to large capacity for production. In that case, we have no choice but to use an AC motor, but due to the characteristics of the motor, the maximum RPM is about 3500 rpm, which is far less than that for laboratory use. In this case, there is no choice but to have a lot of difference between the process caught in the laboratory and the process at the production site.

So we also use AC motors for experiments. Although the RPM is not very high, due to the large diameter of the impeller, sufficient shear force is produced (actually, the experimental 6000 RPM is effective enough for any test), and it is much stronger and more stable than DC motors.
